Web Crazywww.blackhorseskiclub.com

Yes at long last the web site is up and running. It’s early days and there are several blank pages as yet. Trip reports, magazine and small ads all need adding to. It’s our first draft at the wording and already we have some changes to make to the opening page to change it to add a lot more about what we are about and about skiing with us. I have to write up the trip reports for the site but right now as I am trying to get this magazine completed that will have to wait. Obviously the magazine being available on line will mean quicker production of it, as well as cutting down the enormous job of actually printing, collating, folding and enveloping all the 220+ copies we have to send out.

The small ads are free although we will probably only carry them for a month to ensure the page doesn't get overcrowded. Please email them in to the club using the link on the web site and we will get them on there. If you have any web sites connected with skiing then please email the details and we will add them to the links page.

Finally we are finding out of we can add some video to the site. If we can you may be able to watch real footage of us on a trip somewhere.

On an admin note please note that at present we do not operate through a secure server so that’s why we don’t ask for bank details etc on the joining forms as we do on the paper version. As yet you can’t sign documents on line physically although digital signatures are now legal. Some time the Bank may accept them but ‘til then we have to ask new members to print off and send in to us, their standing orders for membership.

Naturally you can email is through the web site. If you think there is something we should add to the site please let us know. We want it to be informative and up to date.

On a technical note the site is designed to work with Internet Explorer and any other browser such as Netscape may not show the site properly.

Many thanks to member Pete Kenny for all his hard work in writing the site up for us and getting it on to the server we are using.
